Pineapples


Nutrition

Pienapple contains a proteolytic enzyme bromelain. It is a good source of manganese, Vitamin C. and Vitamin B1.


Diet

During the day you need to consume 1lt of pineapple juice and pieces of it (4 pounds). Breakfast, second breakfast, lunch and dinner. Add 100g. of low-fat cottage cheese, 100g. of chicken without skin and rye bread.


Varietries

"Hilo": Variant of Smooth Cayenne selected in Hawaii.

"Charlotte Rothschild": Second to Giant Kew in size in India.

"Perolera": A Smooth Cayenne type.

"Cabezona": Is a prominent variant of Red Spanish.


Folk Medicine

Pineapple juice is taken as a diuretic and to expedite labor, also as a gargle in cases of sore. In Africa the dried, powdered root is a remedy for endema.
